The Mundialito of Male Fast Triathlon happened in the Canasvieiras Beach, in Florianópolis, with the presence of triathletes
of six countries, in a sport event under more than 30 Celcius degrees of temperature.
The North American team dominates the competition, winning the championchip for the second time. With a great performance of Andy
Potts, actually the best swimmer in this category, and a very good work of Matthew Reed e Brian Fleischmann, the North American
triathletes overtook the Brazilian Team, Virgílio de Castilho, Juraci Moreira Júnior and Reinaldo Colucci, that were at
the second position.
In the third place was the Canadian Team, with Nick Hastie, Andre-Paul Baillargeon-Smit and Kyle Jones. The other three countries
were Japan, Czech Republic and Argentina.
The event happened at the Nations Avenue, in the three stages with 250 meters of swimming, 4000 meters of cicling and 1400
meters of running.
With a public of about 20000 people, the event had national coverave of the Globo Network, in the Esporte Espetacular, a sport TV
program.
