With 2,200 meters of extension and 470 athletes, the 23th International Swimming Crossing of the Lagoa
da Conceição opened the 1st Circuit of Aquatic Marathons of Santa Catarina.
The Circuit has more four stages: 1st Dam Palmeiras Swimming Crossing in Rio dos Cedros, 1st Turn to the Cabras
Island Swimming Crossing in Balneário Camboriú, 14th Travessia Swimming Crossing of Porto Belo Island
and 1st Swimming Crossing of the Itá Lake.
The Lagoa da Conceição (Conceição Lagoon) is one of the most beautiful places at
Florianópolis, in the Santa Catarina Island, south of Brazil. Surrounded by green hills and sand dunes,
the lagoon offers beautiful nature and a very interesting nightlife during the summer.
